Default After two bold moves whats next for Brew

The Brewers made two huge moves Thursday, finally awakening the MLB offseason by signing free agent outfielder Lorenzo Cain and acquiring outfielder Christian Yelich from the Marlins.Cain finalized his five-year, $80 million deal Friday, signaling a changing of the guard Starlin Castro Jersey in the National League Central. Yelich and Cain have both already agreed to attend the team's Fan Fest this Sunday, providing fans an early glimpse at their new high-profile players.Milwaukee flirted with the postseason last year, going down to the wire with the Rockies, only to see its chances thwarted at the last moment. Yelich, who has never batted below .280 in his MLB career, while also producing power and speed, will team with Cain to form at least two-thirdsof an elite outfield. But who will line up next to them? The Brewers already had some intriguing outfield pieces on their roster. But Ryan Braun Wei-Yin Chen Jersey , entering his 12th season, hasn't played a full season since 2012, and Domingo Santana and Keon Broxton were inconsistent.More trades could be on the horizon for Milwaukee with pitching help still needed. One idea being Marlins Cool Base Firebrick Jersey pushed around is having Braun split time with Eric Thames at first base, and with either Broxton or Santana in the outfield and keeping the roster intact.#Brewers GM David Stearns on po sibility that Ryan Braun would play some 1B to ease OF glut: "That's something we're open to exploring in spring training and see where it leads. It's something Ryan is open to." Tom (@Haudricourt) January 26, 2018On the other hand, Santana, 25, could be an enticing player to move for a starting pitcher having just belted 30 home runs with 85 RBIs last season. An outfield trio of Yelich, Cain and Braun would be among the best in MLB, plus Broxton Marlins Womens Firebrick Jersey would be there for cover. Santana is currently expendable, and the Brewers need another arm for the postseason.Chris Archer said Thursday that he doesn't expect to get traded this offseason, but the Brewers should try anyway. Sending a package of Santana andprospects to the Rays for Archer would fill Milwaukee's biggest need. The Brewers could then target an Alex Cobb or Lance Lynn in Christian Yelich Jersey free agency to give them a solid five-man rotation.Whatever the Brewers decide to do during the remainder of the offseason will just be adding cherries on top. Yelich is one of the most exciting young players in the game and should be an elite addition. Cain has battled injuries, but his upside remains high. The roster could still use some improvement, but Milwaukee already looks like a playoff team, which is something it has only beenable to claim twice since 1982.
