Default Indians hope Andrew Miller knee is back

Indians left-hander Andrew Miller is scheduled to make a rehab appearance Wednesday with Triple-A Columbus, and manager Terry Francona says it's looking like his linchpin reliever, on the DL since Aug. 2, is almost ready to return."If everything goes according Mark Melancon Jersey to plan, he'll probably join us Friday in Kansas City," Francona told reporters (via Cleveland.com), referring to the start of a three-game series against the Royals.Miller a key to the Indians' postseason hopes this year as he was last year after being Men's San Francisco Giants Jerseys acquired from the Yankees has a 1.67 ERA in 46 appearances with 78 strikeouts and 15 walks while allowing only 10 runs in 54 innings. Opponents are batting only .141 against him. Those numbers make Francona eager to have him back but also have the Indians skipper approaching his return with caution."I'm going to have to put the reins on myself when he comes back," Francona said. "He is such a weapon. Until we get him back into routine of pitching like he has been, we're going to have to ratchet it back a little bit."Francona admitted to overusing his 6-7 left-hander in the Jeff Samardzija Jersey season's first half, which may have contributed to the knee problem. If the Indians are to make a second consecutive World Series, then having a healthy Miller in the bullpen is crucial.
